We offer two different Pole Dance Instructor Certification Courses:

Beginner/Basic Instructor:
Prepares you to teach basic introductory moves which can be used to build a beginner course or incorporated and interspersed into intermediate courses.

This course has been approved by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America
for 9.5 continuing education credits

Intermediate Instructor:
Prepares you to teach intermediate pole dancing including combination spins, climbing and laybacks
This is one of the most comprehensive live training courses offered in the US.

This course has been approved by the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America
for 5.25 continuing education credits

Prerequisites:

• Red Cross First Aid certification or current licensing as RN, MD, or LPN. (required)

• Preferred certification as a  Group Fitness Instructor, CPT, Pilates or Yoga Instructor through AFAA , ACSM, ACE, ISSA, NCSF or NCSA

• Basic Instructor: Previous pole dance experience required.
  Previous dance or fitness experience preferred but not required.

• Intermediate Instructor: must have completed Basic Instructor through Empowerment Through Exotic Dance, Ltd.

Basic and Intermediate Level Certifications:

• Learn to teach Basic Pole Dance moves including floor work, transitional moves, and
  beginner/intermediate level spins

• Beginner instructor course includes over 80 moves

• Intermediate instructor course includes over 40 moves and strength building exercises for advanced classes

• Beginner course includes 12 hours of instruction and concludes with both a written and practical exams

• Intermediate course includes 8 hours of instruction with both a written and practical exams

• Learn safe pole dancing practice and how to teach safely and effectively, while using proper body mechanics

• Learn to build proper warm up and cool down techniques for each level of class you teach

• Learn to build your classes and how to set your courses to music

• Learn what is important to set up your business correctly including liability waivers, registration & insurance

• Exams may be completed at a later date or immediately upon completion of course

• Certificate from Empowerment Through Exotic Dance, Ltd will be issued upon successful completion of exams.

• CEUs presented to AFAA certified instructors upon successful completion of exams.
